The AIRT podcast series was officially launched on June 1, 2020 to help expand the virtual footprint of AIRT and the DRONERESPONDERS program across the digital universe.  Production is handled in-house by the AIRT marketing communications team, with additional support provided by outside partners.
 

Podcast Series B, DRONERESPONDERS: UAS for Public Safety and Fire Rescue hosted by Charles Werner highlights proven use cases demonstrating how law enforcement and fire rescue agencies across the U.S. and around the world are using drones and related technology to help save lives, protect property, and enhance first responder safety.

Podcast Series A, TAMING DISASTER: Drones For Good hosted by Christopher Todd features guest expert insight and analysis surrounding the role of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) covering topics including emergency management, major disaster operations, and humanitarian relief missions.

The AIRT podcast series TAMING DISASTER: Drones For Good hosted by Christopher Todd officially launched on June 1, 2020.  The goal of this podcast is to highlight the many ways unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) are being used to make a positive impact across the U.S. and around the world.


Each TAMING DISASTER: Drones For Good podcast is approximately 45 minutes long and features guest expert insight and analysis surrounding the role of UAS for emergency management, major disaster operations, and humanitarian relief missions.


TAMING DISASTER: Drones For Good is hosted by Christopher Todd, Executive Director of AIRT.  Chris is a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) and FAA-certified Part 107 Remote Pilot who has operated UAS in a wide variety of disaster-related emergency deployments.  Chris is also a former New York City-based technology analyst who has advised Fortune 500 companies, major sports leagues, and start-up firms on how to stimulate innovation to help shift paradigms and maximize opportunities.


Episodes of TAMING DISASTER: Drones For Good are published on a bi-weekly basis, alternating weeks with it’s sibling podcast DRONERESPONDERS: UAS for Public Safety and Fire Rescue hosted by Charles Werner.

The AIRT podcast series DRONERESPONDERS: UAS for Public Safety and Fire Rescue hosted by Chief Charles Werner (ret.) officially launched on June 8, 2020.  This podcast is designed to showcase the many ways unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and related technologies are being used to assist first responders and enhance public safety operations.

Each DRONERESPONDERS: UAS for Public Safety and Fire Rescue podcast is approximately 45 minutes long and features guest expert insight and analysis surrounding the role of UAS and related technologies for law enforcement, firefighting, security, and search and rescue operations.

DRONERESPONDERS: UAS for Public Safety and Fire Rescue is hosted by Charles Werner, Director of DRONERESPONDERS — the world’s fastest-growing non-profit program supporting public safety UAS.  Charles is the retired fire chief of Charlottesville, Virginia who has become a world-renowned advocate for public safety UAS operations.  Charles has achieved his FAA Part 107 remote pilot certification and has also served on a variety of boards and committees proliferating the use of technology by public safety and emergency services agencies.
