About the event

DRONERESPONDERS NIST Proctor Course

Dates: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, April 21–23

Time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Location: Texas DPS UAS Training Complex

This course is offered in two formats to support certification as a DRONERESPONDERS NIST Proctor. Participants may select either the two‑day Level 1–4 course or the three‑day Level 1–5 course, depending on their training needs.

The two‑day course equips participants with the knowledge and skills to proctor NIST test methods for Levels 1–4, blending classroom instruction with hands‑on evaluation exercises at the Texas DPS UAS Training Complex. The three‑day course expands this curriculum to include Level 5, which is conducted indoors and requires students to bring an indoor‑capable drone. Level 5 training incorporates full use of the NIST confined indoor test range, providing a controlled environment for confined‑space and precision‑flight evaluation. Participants will also gain access to the NIST Indoor Labyrinth to enhance skills and proficiency.
