The Drone as a First Responder (DFR) Working Group is a nationwide initiative bringing together DFR program agencies, organizations interested in launching DFR programs, NGOs, government agencies, industry leaders, and academia. This open forum fosters collaboration across diverse sectors to advance the implementation and effectiveness of DFR operations in public safety.
The group’s primary mission is to learn, share, collaborate, and engage with the FAA on regulatory issues affecting DFR programs. Through best practices, policy advocacy, and exploration of emerging technologies, members work together to enhance operational success and drive progress within the field.
Meetings & Participation
The DFR Working Group meets virtually on the third Thursday of each month at 4 PM EST for a one-hour session. Participation is open to all interested professionals, agencies, and organizations.
