CALGRU
About

The DRONERESPONDERS California UAS Coordination Group establishes the framework for public safety agencies and emergency services organizations to directly collaborate with industry, government, and academia through the combined expertise.
The primary objectives of the CALGRU are to:
Support the education, adoption, and use of remotely piloted, uncrewed, and autonomous systems by public safety and emergency service organizations at the regional (state) level within the scope of established legal and acceptable community standards.
Increase awareness and understanding of the value of drones, robotics, and related technologies by the public with increased emphasis on underserved communities.
Provide a mechanism for government to directly collaborate with industry and academia at the regional level to stimulate innovation and better serve the Whole Community during times of emergency and crisis.
To establish a statewide, multi-disciplinary ecosystem where technology, training, and operational readiness align seamlessly. This will allow the California’s public-safety community to safely and effectively integrate unmanned and future autonomous systems in all-hazard environments, while upholding the values of safety, interoperability, and public trust.
The Mission of CALGRU
The mission of this group is to promote a unified statewide framework that strengthens partnerships among agencies, governance bodies, and technology stakeholders across fire, law enforcement, EMS, and emergency management.
It's more than a group, it’s a tactical advantage
