WNC Public Safety UAS Summit

The WNC Public Safety UAS Summit brings together emergency responders, UAS professionals, and industry experts to advance drone operations in public safety.

This event provides education and awareness on critical topics, including the newly formed DRONERESPONDERS North Carolina Public Safety Collaboration Group (NCGRU) & South Carolina Public Safety Collaboration Group (SCGRU), an initiative aimed at strengthening collaboration and best practices across the region.

• Panel discussions will explore the latest advancements and challenges in Drone as First Responder (DFR) programs, FAA regulations, and Tactical Awareness Kit (TAK) integration.

• A special session, "When Disaster Strikes," will highlight real-world emergency response experiences, focusing on lessons learned from Hurricane Helene and recent wildfire incidents.

• Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in hands-on training. PSU instructors will lead a dynamic training exercise, providing practical insights into operational deployment.
