This award is given in honor and remembrance of Boulder CO Officer Eric Talley who selflessly gave his life to save others in an active shooter event. Officer Talley was also Boulder PDs UAS Program Manager.


Thanks to AXON, BRINC DRONES, ESRI, PILOT INSTITUTE, SIFLY, TITAN PROTECTION AND 2D DUMMIES! Each of these companies have provided donations that will be awarded to Fort Wayne Police Department to enhance their drone program.

It’s inspiring to see his legacy continue through support for drone programs that help keep communities safe. Big thanks to all the companies involved—your contributions really make a difference! Also, funny side note, watching drones fly reminds me of playing the classic Snake Game—always trying to navigate without crashing!

Matt's efforts have a far reaching impact than most the public will ever recognize. I hope that Ft. Wayne PD and the City of Ft Wayne capitalize on his award in local media. It is well deserved, all in the Public Safety Sector and those who benefit from this are indebted.
